Are the same archetypes used worldwide or are they region specific?
An Archetype is a standardised type of structure based on nominal industry design specifications and construction materials used in major elements such as electrical, civil, mechanical and engineering components. Our Archetypes database stores default information for wind speed thresholds, floor height above ground, build year, replacement cost, heat threshold, element materials etc. These generic defaults are used when asset level inputs have not been provided by the client. This means that any asset can be customised to be region specific but the archetype database is globally generic.
